3.2 Note on secure connections (HTTPS/HSTS)
In some networks, the app may no longer be able to establish a connection. This is usually due to very strict security settings for HTTPS connections.
Some networks use a security function called HSTS (HTTP Strict Transport Security). This ensures that connections are only allowed if the security certificate used is completely trustworthy.
The certificates created by SwyxWare are so-called self-signed certificates. This means: They were not issued by an official, generally recognized certification authority (CA), but were generated directly in the system.
In addition, the certificate is intended for the internal connection - however, the app calls an external address (remote connector). As a result, the certificate does not match the expected address.
If HSTS is active, the network automatically blocks such connections.
If possible, use an official SSL certificate that is issued to the external address of the server.
If this is not possible, ask your IT department to set up an exception for the connection to the Swyx server or to deactivate HSTS for this address.
